Stations of the Cross

It is a tradition during the World Youth Day week for the hosting country to put on a large scale dramatisation of the Stations of the Cross.

In the past, the dramatisation of the Stations of the Cross has been a very large, spectacular and moving event.

In Cologne (2005) Stations of the Cross were prayed in various parish and school communities; In Sydney there was a beautiful dramatisation of the stations throught Sydney; In Madrid the WYD Cross was carried by varying groups of pilgrims between sculptures of each station. Who knows how they might be prayed in Rio?!?
