What is a small group?
Throughout the program of preparation and the pilgrimage in Europe, we will travel and participate in activities as one large Tasmanian Pilgrimage Group.
However, there may be times when we break up into small groups for small group prayer, reflection and/or debrief. Pilgrims will be allocated to small groups during our program of preparation. Small groups are made up of 7 - 10 pilgrims with an allocated small group leader.
The Tassie WYD11 Pilgrimage group is structured into these small groups for the safety and comfort of all pilgrims. Breaking into small groups means we can quickly and efficiently count that everyone in the group is present, we can ensure that all pilgrims have received information about the days events through their small group leader, Someone (small group leader) is watching out for each of the pilgrims and ensure that they are travelling okay, everyone has a chance to have their voice heard during debriefs and prayer. the small group becomes a tight knit family of pilgrims!
