The role of small group leaders with pilgrims, before leaving for Europe
- Get to know the pilgrims in your group
Introduce yourself with a letter or e-mail and keep in regular contact with the pilgrims in your small group throughout the program of preparation
- Ensure the pilgrims in your small group get to know each other
You may organise a couple of social get togethers before the WYD11 Pilgrimage to help bond your small group - this make everything much easier and enjoybale when you get to Europe. If this is not possible, encourage them to spend time with each other at pilgrim preparation activities, and or connect regularly via e-mail or facebook etc.
- You will have the chance to run small group discussion and prayer with your small group at pilgrim preparation activities also
- Assist at pilgrim preparation activities where needed
- Participate fully and actively in the pilgrim preparation and the leader formation programs
