Pilgrim Preparation
One of the key aspects of a Tasmanian WYD Pilgrimage is the Program of Preparation. By joining the Tassie WYD11 Pilgrimage, you are commiting to all aspects of the pilgrimage, including preparation and debrief activities. Preparation activities include weekend retreats, evening sessions, fundraising, family day etc. A European Pilgrimage will take a lot out of you, emotionally, physically, spiritually and emotionally, the program of preparation is designed to try and help you prepare for such a huge and amazing experience, to minimise shock and bring themes and events together, so that you can get the most out of your pilgrimage experience. There is an expectation that by joining the Tassie WYD11 Pilgrimage you will fully participate in the program of preparation.

NEXT PREPARATION ACTIVITY:
ADVENT-URE: Planted & Built Up!
Date: Sat 18th - Sun 19th June
Time: 10am Sat - 3pm Sun
Place: Sacred Heart College, New Town (Hobart)
Bring: This is an overnight retreat, we will be sleeping on classroom floors, so be sure to bring everything you need for an overnight stay, incl: Sleeping Bag, Pillow, Something to share for morning/afternoon tea (NO peanuts please!), Change of Clothes, Toiletries, Towel, Clothes for the upredictable Tassie weather! (We will have our CYM mattresses there!)
Register: We know that all Tassie Pilgrims are excited for this retreat, but we do need you to register for medical reasons. We appreciate if you could register as soon as possible, but please ensure you do so by Friday 10th June. REGISTER NOW by clicking here!
Transport: A bus will be available for those travelling from the North. the bus will depart Church of the apostles at 7.00am on Sat 18th June and return pilgrims to Apostles by approximately 6.00pm on Sun 19th June. Please indicate on your rego if you will be using the bus!
Commissioning Mass: During the retreat our pilgrimage group will be commissioned by the Archbishop and presented with an Australian and Tasmanian flag by Scott Bacon MP. This will take place at the 10.30am Mass on Sunday 19th June at St. Mary's Cathedral, Hobart. All family, friends and other supporters are welcome to attend!

Family Dinners
Regional Family Dinners will be held during June. Family Dinners are open to all supporters of our Tasmanian Pilgrims: their parents, guardians, spouses, partners, siblings, other family & friends. this evening will be a great opportunity for supporters of our pilgrims to share in the journey of our pilgrims a little more. A chance to prepare themselves for their loved ones adventure, as well as to meet some other pilgrim families and leaders, if you haven't already.
