Past WYD's

The first interntational World Youth Day was held in Rome, Italy in 1985. Since then, every 2 - 3 years a large international World Youth Day is held in a different location around the world. Below is a list of places where WYD's have been held and the numbers in attendance at each.

2011: Madrid, Spain expected +2,000,000 people
