Opening Mass

This is the first big event of the WYD week and officially opens the week of celebrations. Millions of pilgrims from all over the world will gather with their flags and banners, noisy and excited about our first big gathering and opening of the week.

The Opening Mass will be presided over by the Archbishop of Rio and concelebrated by Bishops and priests from all over the world!!

The venue for the Opening Mass is yet to be announced by the Rio WYD office.
