A World Youth Day (WYD) pilgrimage is a journey of opportunities and experiences. Many people describe a life-changing experience. It is a fun, faith-filled, exciting journey. It offers friendship, community, celebration and prayer. It is more than a once off experience. It offers personal reflection and retreat. It can also be challenging and demanding but it is always worth the effort.
Being a WYD small-group leader will enhance your own experience of pilgrimage. It will give you a chance to share what you have with others and walk side by side with young people at a very significant and special time in their life.
