Process of becoming a small group leader

Unfortunately, not everyone who applies to be a small group leader, will necessarily end up being a small group leader on the Tassie WYD11 Pilgrimage. We will need a certain amount of small group leaders, and this will be determined by the number of Tassie Pilgrims applying to join the Pilgrimage!

However, even if you do not make it through to becoming a small group leader, it is still a great process to be a part of for your own personal and spiritual formation.

Steps to becoming a WYD11 Small Group Leader

Step 1: Submit your registration to attend the Leaders Day on Saturday 29th January

Step 2: Attend the Leaders Day on Saturday 29th August
If you are interested in being a WYD11 small group leader, you will need to come along to the Leaders Day on Saturday 29th August. This will be held in the North of the state 10am - 4pm (exact venue and transport details tba). On this day you will have the opportunity to look at the role of a small group leader on the WYD11 pilgrimage a little more closely. You will have the chance to meet other potential small group leaders and the opportunity to discern your gifts, your passions, and your energies around the WYD11 Pilgrimage to help discern your leadership qualities on this particular pilgrimage.

Step 3: Submit your Application
After having participated in the Leaders Day, you will need to submit your application to be a small group leader (along with your pilgrim application if you haven't already submitted it!) by Monday 7th February, 2011.

Step 4: Notification
Catholic Youth Ministry will notify you as to whether you have gained a place as a small group leader on the Tassie WYD11 Pilgrimage
