As our country prepares to welcome the youth of the World in Sydney for World Youth Day 2008, we in Tasmania are especially preparing to greet you with open arms. The Archdiocese of Hobart encompasses the whole heart-shaped island of Tasmania. We live in a setting that is a superb example of God's creation. We would like the opportunity to share with you our beautiful landscapes; magnificent waterfalls, rugged mountains, rivers, beaches and dramatic coastlines. See our rare wildlife, sense our rich history and meet our very friendly and welcoming people.
